Blurb Opens European Headquarters

Jon Wisler, Former European Director of Kodak Gallery (aka Ofoto), Named VP and General Manager of Blurb Europe

San Francisco, Calif., June 17, 2008 – Blurb, the creative book publishing platform, today announced that Jonathan Wisler has joined as Vice President and General Manager of Blurb Europe. Wisler was most recently the European Director of Kodak Gallery (the company formerly known as Ofoto). Wisler was instrumental in growing Kodak Gallery into the leading online digital photo developing service in the US, and then went on to grow Kodak Gallery to be the number one photofinishing site in the UK.

Opening Blurb Europe further demonstrates Blurb’s ongoing commitment to its international customers. Blurb announced its first European print partner in July 2007 followed by the international rollout of Blurb’s Set Your Price program, which allows people to create and sell books for profit. By March 2008, international sales accounted for a growing percentage of Blurb’s total revenue. Later this year Blurb will roll out its professional offering, Blurb Business-to-Business (B3), internationally.

“We have been doing business internationally for some time now, and during this time it has become increasingly clear that we have a tremendous opportunity in Europe,” said Eileen Gittins, Blurb’s founder and CEO. “Jonathan has a phenomenal grasp of the European market, and has specific expertise driving the European expansion of major brands in very similar industries.”

Wisler will be hiring in Europe, to further support Blurb’s international expansion, and more information can be found online at http://www.blurb.com/about/jobs.

“Joining Blurb is an awesome opportunity to be a part of something innovative and empowering,” said Wisler. “I see the passion that goes into everything Blurb does. This passion is shared by the people who make Blurb books, and I’m excited to introduce Blurb to a broader European audience."
