Artist Kimberly Kelly Santini typically focuses her creativity on painting and cooking. Author is the latest of her accomplishments, although it's not such a stretch.

The artist is best known for her acclaimed daily painting commitment "Painting a Dog a Day." The projects provides a candid peek into the artist's life while showcasing a variety of lovable faces. It also provides a colorful backdrop for the artist's animal advocacy work and it. Now in it's 5th year, the daily paintings have been chronicled on the project's blog (www.paintingadogaday.com) as well as being featured in numerous publications and exhibitions.

When not in the studio or folding laundry, Kim can be found shuttling her kids around town or playing frisbee with the dog. Home & studio are in the historic village of Lake Orion, Michigan with her ever tolerant husband and children. Finnigan, a neuorotic blue heeler mix, keeps everyone in line and on their toes (when not curled up asleep at the base of the easel).
