Mary's memoirs...Slice-of-life stories about growing up in the midwest during the 1930's through the early 50's.
My mother, Mary yerns to know her Granmother's stories as do I... with all of the adventure pioneering across the great Atlantic ocean to settle in Council Bluffs, Iowa... however, no one ever captured them, and now only small fragmented stories are passed along verbally to the next generation.
"I want my grandchildren to know and remember my stories", she said, and so we set out to create a priceless set of engaging memoirs and visuals to pass along to the next generation. The memoirs weave 250 pages of love, war, loss, and whole lot of fun, joy and spirit during the 20th century.
"The journey of making the book was quite an experience, I feel privileged to have done this side by side with my mother... I laughed and cried through the whole process while engaging with the stories" - Tevis
Volume II to be published soon, moving from the 1950's through the present.
