This YA novel describes the adventures of Kelly Simons and her friends as they join a special community group run by the local police department called 'DETECTIVE KIDS'. The cases are described through her memories. Each case challenges Kelly and her friends as they face their fears, stand up against bullies and investigate drug-runners. Kelly reflects on her choices and the friendships she has made through the program. You will find adventure, romance and humour in these pages - unique in itself, this book describes the coming of age of six very different kids.

Hi there! Thanks for dropping by!

I grew up writing fiction and always had a creative streak. I love reading and writing in the following genres: crime fiction, romance, biographies, fantasy and Australiana. Growing up in Sydney I've always loved the beach and the Aussie culture.

I have an addiction to anything related to Tintin, Harry Potter and Rugby Union. A strange mixture but I like it. I also love drawing, playing guitar and piano and listening to different types of music.

McFly would have to be my favourite band, but I also listen to Florence and the Machine, Lindsay Stirling, Coldplay, and various other artists like Tyler Hilton, Adele and Slava Grigoryan.

I've been blogging for about four years and really enjoy writing about my cooking adventures, my dog Luna, book/movie reviews and writing ideas. Feel free to check me out at

You can contact me on twitter if you have any questions @crazychicke.

I hope you enjoy looking around.
