This is the photo companion to Tom White's "A Panama Journal". These are large format photographs of the beautiful highlands of the province of Chiriqui in western Panama.
Tom White is a University of Florida biologist currently residing in deep south Florida. He and his wife, Linda, consider themslves to be "Biophiles" (people who love living organisms and need to have them around). They live on a five acre tract surrounded by tropical trees and other plants and own a "rare" plant nursery with a lot of pets - even an alligator for a couple of years. They are considering retiring in the mountains of Panama, where biophiles would be very happy. They also dabble in graphic arts and ceramics. Tom sometimes writes books.
