About the Book
De Petre has done a difficult alchemical operation: to graft the external garden inside himself.
The soul reality –his Wife– created it... he, living witness, proves it in his book. They exist as the orchard itself, inhabit in it with feet and blood, for both it is the vision place.
The words go by the grass together with the bumblebee, the seeds, the cricket, the drops, the stems, the dew, the perfumes…and they stand there suspended, waiting to sprout like any other plant.
“The Garden of the Wife” is an invocation to the memory of the origin, it vindicates that nostalgia for which, knowing it or not, we look for get back to the initial vision where the surprise is the consequence of the natural state of innocence.
