Wisconsin is home to approximately 3000 common loons each summer. Lake Namekagon in the southern part of Bayfield county is home to nesting loons. The book contains images taken from a kayak during the summers of 2006 and 2007. Knowledge about the behavior of these birds and patience resulted in this pair of loons approaching my kayak repeatedly during my paddles.
