The more we learn about polar bears, the greater our admiration for these animals become.
They are iconic creatures, full of irony. They look at you with innocent eyes but can turn into the worst beast you never want to see face to face. They are majestic and fierce, playful and cunning. They are revered and hunted. They live in a beautiful but harsh Arctic environment, inaccessible to all but a few people for most of the year.
The unique opportunity to visit with the polar bears in their natural habitat is one I have been fortunate to share.
