Ali Jersey comes from the swamps of the Jersey Shore, where Bruce Springsteen fans are abundant and “what exit” jokes are old. Growing up as a child of an alcoholic father, she creates graphic novel styled illustrations that focus around the emotionally damaged perception of relationships with family and friends, and the awkward limbo she lives in between adolescence and adulthood. Her autobiographical stories relate to the absurd and askew versions of love, respect, and honesty she experienced growing up in a household where crawling inside an almost empty rum bottle was a preferred practice. Ali Jersey works and lives in Boston, and is currently a student at Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
