About the Book
A book of photographs by two professional photographers from their travels in October 2009, of Cusco, The Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Chinchero, Pisac, Urubamba, the countryside, the amazing colors, the textiles, the ceramics, the wonderful people, the ruins, the flourishing legacy of the Inca civilization.
Born in Santiago, Chile of English parents I was blessed with dual citizenship (British and Chilean) and two languages (English and Spanish). School in England was followed by a career split equally between the USA and the UK with numerous international assignments. I first became involved in photography at age 11 in a B & W darkroom, working for the school paper. I have been freelancing as a writer and photographer since 1985, first in stock photography, then assignments, then writing and photography combined, mostly for the editorial market. From there I branched out into corporate work, marketing and PR, and then authored several books, including a novel written under contract. More recently I have expanded into design work, video and audio. If it has to do with communication, then I consider it my field. I am self-taught except for the NYI Photography Course.
