Robert Englebright currently resides in New York City.
He studied for a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography at the School of Art & Design at University of Illinois Chicago . He worked in the commercial photography industry for the past 20 years as a manager, producer, and photographer. He developed and ran a photography gallery devoted to emerging artists in Chicago. Robert has exhibited his work, including a body of his photographs entitled "Second Impressions," a collection of black and white silver gelatin prints of New York City taken with a 1940's box camera. Robert moved to New York City in 1999. Near the end of 2008 Robert cut ties with the commercial photography industry and began devoting himself exclusively to his personal work. He is currently living in Manhattan, practicing his craft, and pursuing various ways to market his photography and increase people's awareness of his work.
