“It’s the very best skin—I’ve ever been in
It goes all over me, and it covers every little place
My knuckles and my knees, my fingers and my face.”
This body of work is inspired by Kent Stevenson’s song for children “My Sensational Skin.” Intrigued by the tender wrapping of my own children, I started exploring the beauty and diversity of the most amazing of our organs - the skin. It is used every day, durable enough to last, but fragile at the same time. The project soon expanded from my family to others. The appearance of skin is ever changing in life - I see grace and beauty at any age.
