This year, I will turn twenty. I will no longer be a teenager, but I will not be considering myself an adult either. It's like there will be an in between, a shade of gray between the black and the white. These are some of the last times I'll get to just hang around my house with my sisters and do nothing, but just enjoy what little surprises we can. Little surprises like the snow on February 12, 2010, a Friday. That early morning sunrise; the time I looked out the window and saw my sister standing at my front door and the clouds of fluff on the ground and I gasped. We never get snow like that. It is still one of the things that completely amaze me about the place I've called home for so many years- that and the trees. I think about how much I'll miss the trees when I leave for Atlanta; how there are only a few around campus, because it's in the middle of the city. I wonder what the snow hangs off of besides buildings and cars parked on the side of the street? I guess I'll have to wait and see. Until then, I'll have these photos to remind me of everything. Of the day where anything seemed possible and the world was ours for the taking.
