Early fall 2009 in Grand Teton and Yellowstone; we enjoyed beautiful warm sunny week with cool nights and no summer crowds. Gorgeous autumn colors made up for less fauna (except buffalo). Wish we would seen bear but sight of black wolf was unexpected treat. Even witnessed start of forest fire which was awesome display of mother nature's powers and produced absolutely amazing photos. Yellowstone is raw Earth and Teton is photographer's paradise. Best vacation so far.
