About the Book
An artists book.
In my Fine Art practice, I seek to extended and elongate time by removing film stills from the context of the moving image.
In 'flight', approximately 1.5 seconds of video is presented as a sequential series of images that shows the flight, in the distance, of a seagull across the width of the frame.
The original video was taken on 21st December 2009 in Bridlington at the map reference that makes up the subtitle. The yellowness of the sky and shuddering is mostly due to the fact that the country had just been through a massive snow fall and the ambient temperature at the time of filming was -8!
