This book is a selection of images that represents the first part of an ongoing project that will bring awareness to the students and community members of each other in Sewanee. This work started out based on Ronnie Hoosier who works for Physical Plant Services at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. From there, it has spiraled outward to the Sewanee Volunteer Fire Department of which Ronnie is a member.
This work is not about me, but certainly has changed me in ways I hope it will change everyone who views it. The relationships that I have made and will continue to make with members of the Sewanee community have altered the way I think about this place.
I am currently a full-time student at the University of the South is Sewanee, Tennessee. I am a junior majoring in studio art with a concentration in photography. I have been pursuing photography since my junior year in high school. My web site, TylerCooney.com has all kinds of photographs of events from the past four years. Also, take a look at my Sewanee website: http://art.sewanee.edu/tcooney. Besides school and photography, I also enjoy rock climbing, caving, kayaking, cycling, and pole vaulting. "Change This Later" is my first book and hopefully there will be many more to come.
