About the Book
The images presented in this book speak to being in two places at once; both inside and outside. We are accustomed to thinking in terms of that which is interior to us and that which is exterior; the basic dualism through which we navigate through personal and physical spaces. But perhaps, upon close scrutiny, one term is actually inhered within the other more than our carefully manicured vision allows us to think. Rather than acknowledge the careful patrolling of these borders, we decided to think in terms of celebrating unity by containing both elements of the binary opposition within a single vision. Interpretations vary wildly, some are located within physical space, others represent more psychological or spiritual spaces. But perhaps in each there is a glimmer of acknowledgement that what is inside can only be what it is in relation to what is outside.
