My AVID students decided to make a cookbook for their community service project this year.
This book that we collaborated on and created has over 70 delicious recipes for your whole family to enjoy! Experience Gloria's Queso Dip, indulge in the Stuffed Salmon or take a bite out of a Monster Cookie. There are recipes that every member of your family would enjoy in this cookbook.
Plus, all the proceeds go to a wonderful organization: Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep
Their mission statement is:
"To introduce remembrance photography to parents suffering the loss of a baby with the free gift of professional portraiture. We believe these images serve as an important step in the family’s healing process by honoring their child’s legacy"
I was inspired to do this by my colleague and close friend who lost his daughter, Adelle Marie Young, way too early. NILMDTS provided his family with precious memories of their darling angel, Adelle.
Please buy this book to enjoy but most of all to support this wonderful organization.
I am a junior high Art teacher and the Campus Coordinator/Instructor for the AVID program. AVID is a college prep program for kids in the middle. Great information about AVID can be found at www.avid.org. I have been teaching junior high for 12 years and love working with the kids. They keep me and my sense of humor young. I am lucky to have such a great career.
