This book is based on the age old proverb, "Work Will Win When Wishy Washy Wishing Won't." A young boy desires a toy and he asks his dad to get it for him. He dad tells him it's time for him to learn the value of getting something he's earned. The boy doesn't think working sounds like fun, so he tries different wishing tactics, as well as praying and betting. When those don't pan out, his father sits him down again and tell him, "When your heart desires something just remember this one quote, "Work will win when wishy washy wishing won't." The boy then set out to earn the toy. Faster than he would have guessed, he has his toy with money left. He then passes on the secret to one's bliss to others.

Way to create a book and a story that actually means something. So many stories these days are pointless and moral less. This story should be treasured by generations to come.

Wonderful book! All children should have this book read to them. They should all learn the song as well. It should be as familiar to children as "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star!"

What a great moral lesson. It's a lesson a lot of people haven't learned, or some have forgotten. What a treasure!
