Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1942, David began his photography interest at an early age. He began with Black and White film exposing the film in the camera followed by developing and printing in his own darkroom. He has now re-developed his passion and is working in the world of digital photography doing his darkroom work using a computer. He lives in Arizona and spends his time between there and travels to and from Minnesota. He is a member of PSA, Photography Society of America where he completed and received a certificate for the Image Analysis course, Photography West Camera Club and is a volunteer for Friends of Arizona Highways where he leads photography workshops throughout Arizona, Utah and other western states.

David is the Print Competition chairman and VP of Programs for Photography West and enters many competitions throughout the year. He has received many awards and has been published, most recently the cover of Arizona Highways Photo Workshop brochure for 2009.
