About the Book
With that book, I wanted to speak to a single subject. This book covers the same material but adds many more favorite images. The book is 61 pages long, whereas The Pastoral Landscape is 31 pages. Be patient as you preview the book. New images begin on page 25!
There are more dimensions to me than just rural landscapes and barns. Some of these images will likely be the seeds of future artistic projects. I think you will enjoy the new material and perhaps see the threads of connection among them, even though their subjects vary.
Each image is accompanied by notes about the image and my experiences in taking them. The notes provide a little more personal connection with the images and with the artist.
The images in the book are organized by season, beginning with Winter, because it seems to be the time of year that I photograph most.

About the Creator
I received my Batchelor of Fine Arts Degree from Albion College in 1977. I've always been a painter, working in oil, pastel and encaustic. In the last few years photography has become my art of choice. I've been a self-employed entrepreneur since the age of 24. I was a cabinetmaker for 13 years before transitioning into computer animation. I've done that for almost 15 years but have been transitioning out of that and trying to make a career as an artist. Finally, after all these years! I've created many things besides paintings and photographs. I've built a classical guitar, three electric guitars, a wooden kayak and countless radio controlled gliders including a fully molded fiberglass glider with a 15' wingspan.
