Visit Southern Sudan with Robert Klitgaard, one of the world's leading experts in international development. Like the author's award-winning "Tropical Gangsters" (Basic Books), "The Elephant Is Peace and Freedom" is at once a travel book, a development text, and an introduction to one of the poorest places on the planet. And "The Elephant" has breathtaking photos as well.
All profits from this book will be donated to non-governmental organizations working with children in Southern Sudan.
