During February and March 2010, a group of young people at the Mandela Centre in Chapeltown, Leeds worked with media artist, Shari Baker, from floemedia, and sports coach Antony Southern, from Southern Sports Enterprises, to explore the question...

"What does health and fitness mean to me?"

During this time the young people learned how to use various media equipment, creating photography, video and animation work. Inspiring ideas for this book and a short DVD, through a series of workshops and activities using a range of physical, visual and creative exercises to address thoughts and misconceptions around health and fitness.

They also worked through the ASDAN Sport and Fitness short course, where the young people achieved 10 credits that can go towards a GCSE qualification.

The activities were hosted at the Mandela Centre, with the support of Allyson Bertram, Mrs Whyke, Mr Edwards and Miss Moran.
