Children’s Book On The History Of Everything
Phoenix, AZ – February 21, 2010 – American author Erika K. H. Gronek self-published a book on creation for children entitled, “And Then There Was You”. She both wrote and illustrated it using photomontages of original photography and screen captures from the 3-D virtual world Second Life.
This 17-page colorful book is meant to answer and create questions children might have about the origins of matter, life, animals and humans. It gives a synopsis of everything the child reader has missed in the past 15 billion years. It infuses beauty and science into the ultimate origin story.
“And Then There Was You,” is ambitious in its scope, but manages to use visual storytelling when words get too clunky. It does not dumb-down concepts and aspires to foster curiosity.
Mrs. Gronek says: “Young children will love the bright, detailed photomontages. Older children will be prompted to ask more questions and ideally develop a passion for knowledge as well as a fascination with the world.”
