About the Book
Malaysian foods are relatively new to the Americans palate. The recipes here are favorites among the dishes that we served at Bentara Restaurant, New Haven, Connecticut and some of my own favorites.
One of the first Malay, Malaysian restaurants open in the United States. Features traditional Malaysian cooking specializing food from the state of Kelantan. First opened in Ketereh, Kelantan by my mother in 1978, Bentara opened in Connecticut in 1995 and move to its' present location in Ninth Square District, New Haven, Ct in 1997
