About the Book
Artist Sarah Kretchmer painstakingly builds up layer after layer of paper and paint and then excavates the surface to reveal what lies beneath. By thoughtfully omitting and revealing certain pieces, Kretchmer creates an evocative mix of color and texture. Omissions+Revelations explores her latest work, and includes biographical information as well as an essay about the paintings written by Rachael Wert.
