When a Wedding Planner Gets Married...
As I was planning my own wedding in the midst of planning several other weddings, I'm happy that I took my own advice.... I planned all of the details, did the decor, hired the best vendors, made sure that they had some sort of schedule, and then just let things happen. We got married on New Year's Eve, so the Christmas hustle and bustle was a little much to add into the mix, but the end results were fabulous!! I did stay as budget friendly as possible...I created my own invitations, programs, menu's, place cards, we opted out of having a wedding cake: ( we had a dessert buffet instead), I did my own make-up and I did all of the decor myself....
I did splurge on some things that I really wanted though...crystal curtains, uplighting, New Year's Eve party gear for everyone, Seafood buffet, personalized Aisle runner, Dance Floor Decal, a White horse and Carriage...
I absolutely enjoyed the day from getting ready to Celebrating New Year's Eve with the people we love, to saying goodbye. I had absolutely no stress. Yes, minor things didn't go exactly as planned, but it didn't matter one bit. I didn't even think about one little detail throughout the whole day. I focused solely on the man I love, and the friends and family that were there to celebrate with us, and just let things take their course, and it turned out perfectly!!
