About the Book
Consumption Blanket is an installation piece of a simple room with a desk, lamp, a bed where my consumption blanket lies, and a golden map of the world adorned with vintage postcards of foreign countries that have bright red string sewn through the image to reinforce humans connection with the earth and with each other. The documentation of my consumption over three years is made with my receipts that I collected revealing my personal consumption habits to the audience for an exclusive look in to where I shop, what I buy, and what I eat.
