    About the Book

    Edit

    • A full and detailed account of my journey to India
• 240 pages in large format, full color
 • Hardcover (not flimsy!)
• More than 80 new photos never seen before online Follow the adventure that has been described as a miniature "The Lord of The Rings" as I travel through northern India on my own. Culture shock refers to the anxiety and feelings (of surprise, disorientation, uncertainty, confusion, etc.) felt when people have to operate within a different and unknown cultural or social environment, such as a foreign country. It grows out of the difficulties in assimilating the new culture, causing difficulty in knowing what is appropriate and what is not. This is often combined with a dislike for or even disgust (moral or aesthetical) with certain aspects of the new or different culture. What others have said:
“Your photographer’s statement and your account of your backpacking trip in India, not only they sound very authentic and sincere but they are also very touching, not mentionning the pics which are simply great! I can see my myself a dozen years ago discovering India for the first time and other challenging destinations around Asia…” - Vincent Prevost
