I've been to Turkey in 1998 and when I see your book it brings back all the fantastic memories I have of this country. Your book is awesome. There are no words to say how much I have enjoyed looking at it. I will buy it.

My favorite book! An inspiration for my own feeble attempts at documenting my travel journeys. Thank you for your creativity. Travel more, please. I'm waiting to buy your next installment.

Congratulations on a brilliant book! I too am jealous and makes my efforts look very amateurish. Just about to process all our Turkey photos and decide on where to go from here!!

Hi RamblingMan,
Thanks for the comments! I'm glad you like it. I didn't use BookSmart at all in this. I took the photos and artwork and did the page layout and design using Adobe InDesign. Once I was completed, I exported that to PDFs (one for the cover and one for the interior) and uploaded that to Blurb.com.
Doing it this way let me have very precise control about every aspect of the layout - from the transparencies to the fonts to the picture placement to the 'hand-drawn' components, to the drop shadows, to the gradient feathers... all the things I wanted to be able to control that Booksmart didn't have detailed controls for.
