For me, the sport was great in itself, but it was even more a vehicle for reaching young people. I was greatly influenced by some coaches and teachers, and I wanted to do the same for others. I have coached football for 33 years at the junior high, high school, and junior college levels, and I have learned many things from some excellent coaches. I have even thought up a couple of things myself. The purpose of this book is to pass on some things that worked for us in hopes they might benefit you.
