About the Book
I gave myself 30 days to shoot as many portraits of the people as well as the landscape along the Alpharetta Greenway. In order to grow as a photographer I wanted to give myself a bigger project. I wanted something achievable to strive for and a way to expand myself and my limitations.
The Greenway is currently a 6.15 mile concrete trail for cyclists, joggers, and pedestrians. It afforded me the opportunity to approach many people in a convenient and easy manner and ask them if I could make a portrait of them. There were a few hurdles, but overall it was a great success and I learned a great deal.
I wanted to be able to tie together the landscape and the people in a fun and unique way so each portrait is tied to a landscape by some feature either visually or abstractly. I think the editing and tying together of the photographs was one of the most rewarding aspects of the challenge. Click buy in the widget below to order. I hope you enjoy it!
