About the Book
Like her previous book, Hotel Saguaro, which was an international seller, Hotel Hummingbird is as much about avian behavior as it is a stunning collection of beautiful and unusual hummingbird photographs. Whether observed as a flitting jewel or a daring kamikaze, these non-stop dynamos always command our attention. The book documents the swarms of hummingbirds that visited the award winning author's back yard in late summer 2009 serving as her muses and models.

About the Creator
The author is a retired biochemist turned photographer who traded chemicals for cameras. Birds and animals are her favorite subjects and she loves to catch those special and unique moments in time. A fellow photographer calls her "the photographer of the most difficult catches" and another says that "her portraits of birds engage and please me like no other photographer's work." She recently won first place for one of her hummingbird photos in the National Wildlife Federation photography contest and third place in the Arizona Highways photography contest for a photo of a PowWow dancer.
