When asked to capture a nine year old girl, Rachel, with her dog and best friend, KC, it was important that I portrayed the closeness and trust they had for each other. I also wanted the images to show how proud Rachel was of KC accomplishments. After the photo shoot I asked Rachel to write, in her own words, a few sentences about her and KC so I could incorporate them into the book.
When I delivered the completed book, first Rachel looked at each page by herself, then again with her mom and one more time with her dad. It is always rewarding to see the excitement in clients eyes when they see themselves in a published book for the first time.
terilou.com was founded on two principals; great photography and creative design. A year ago, I attended my 3rd workshop with Sam Abell. During one of his life stories, he said, "Don't forget to capture real life." That is when CaptureBooks was founded. “Photographically capturing and preserving everyday life in a personal published book.” The possibilities are endless and the reward is great. I combine my design talent with my photographs to create personal CaptureBooks. I love that these books are only limited by mine and my clients’ imagination. My services include: Photographing your celebration, occasion or life experience Editing and processing the photo session Creating the cover of your book Designing the layout of each individual page of your book Composing and editing the text of your book Processing your book into publication Delivering a high quality personal book.
