Constructed Intervals in Landscape Space
Special Topics in Landscape Architecture
by Jeff Logsdon and Saruhan Mosler
This compendium includes a selection of 11 essays written by 2008-2009 Writtle School of Design MA Landscape Architecture students for the postgraduate module “Special Topics”. Papers were produced through group discussions, individual tutorials and presentations in a seminar form by masters students in the MALA Studio. Each essay presents a specific issue in contemporary Landscape Architecture such as coastal landscapes, historic urban landscapes, public art, cemeteries or post-industrial landscapes.
My experience of self-publishing began by creating books to record and celebrate the work of students and artists working on collaborative projects at Writtle School of Design, UK. The challenge has been making these publications both accurate records of the process undertaken and something of value within themselves. My latest publication is a collection of digitally enhanced images developed from my oil paintings, etchings, wood cuts, photographs and drawings.
