Shooting at night in digital it is a slow process. The long exposures needed and the small number of images collected in one shoot remind me very much of the "old way" of shooting on film.
I've had the idea to shoot images of Petrol Stations at Night for some time. The bright lights and neon colours are very exciting and enticing.
As well as doing a series of night-time images, my project is based on typology. My original aim was to finish with 10 photographs of different Petrol Stations at Night (or dusk) each shot from the same or similar angles and each shot with the same lens; a wide angle.
