Giuseppe Maria Galasso è nato (nel 1961) e vive ad Avellino.
Giornalista pubblicista dal 1981,si è avvicinato alla fotografia da giovane, unendo alla passione per l’ immagine l’ interesse per le tecniche di camera oscura.
Ha partecipato ad alcune collettive in ambito locale, alla “7th Annual Members Juried Exhibition”, Tubac Center of The Arts, Tubac, Arizona, USA (5/1 - 11/2 2007). Nel 2007 organizza la sua prima personale che ha per tema “Lampioni del mondo”. Allestisce successivamente un’ installazione multimediale su Praga. Nel luglio del 2009 presenta una mostra dal titolo
“…E nemmeno una notte… - L’ Artico d’ estate”, dedicata alle foto scattate in Groenlandia ed Islanda. Sue opere sono state pubblicate sull’ edizione italiana della rivista mensile Digital Camera Magazine, sulla rivista I Viaggi del Sole.
