About the Book
This book is a compilation of the Flower for the Day program for 2009. This successful program, begun in 2008, presents images and descriptions of flowers as they bloomed in the Sessions' extensive gardens as well as those growing in places that they visited.
The descriptions are educational and entertaining and include contemporaneous action and activities. Original art work by Jan Sessions augments the images.
This work is not a "how to grow flowers" book but rather provides a path for the delightful experience of the flowers and our shared memories of them in the living garden. The quality of the images and the art and the text allow it to be read again and again resulting in new enjoyment and insights each time.
