About the Book
Between June 2009 and April 2010 I marked each solstice and equinox with a walk around my home here in the White Peak of Derbyshire.
The result is this collection of poems and images, a snapshot of the changing seasons in this beautiful upland area of Britain.

About the Creator
Simon Unwin
The Peak District, UK
Simon Unwin was born and grew up in Sheffield. He has lived in the Peak District since 1985, for most of this period at Ashford in the Water, where he spends much of his time watching and recording the wildlife of the area. He has been a chef, a factory worker, a printer, national park ranger, nature reserve warden, writer, mountain rescue dog-handler, hill-walker and climber. Now he’s a poet. He drinks whisky and swears too much, but offers the excuse that life in twenty-first century Britain leaves him a lot to swear about. He is married with three children and a grand-daughter.
