About the Book
On the first Saturday in September, our village holds its annual Fete to celebrate the end of Summer and the beginning of Autumn.
In 2009, I set myself a goal to photograph as many of the attendees and participants on the day as I could.
Initially aiming for 500 (a tall order for an even that only runs for 3 hours between 2 and 5 pm), I achieved 183 all of which appear in this book.
For me, it is a record of a wonderful day in a little village halfway between two big cities and midway to paradise. I hope you enjoy it too.
