Mary and John, The Early Years is a trilogy. It is a biographical and historical story of two lives from very different backgrounds that began on separate continents, of two hearts that came together at a time when a world at war threatened to tear them apart and of the family and friends who are intimately woven into the fabric of their enduring relationship.
Volume 3 – It is 1942 in the midst of World War II. John and Les Fusiliers Mont-Royal embark on the Dieppe raid and he is taken prisoner. The young lovers are separated by war for three years. They live their lives apart, enduring many hardships, not knowing if they’ll ever see each other again. The years go by but their love remains strong, the war tugging at their hearts until the day when they are destined to meet again.
