About the Book
‘Teenager to Clergyman - Photographs from 1950s & 60s Britain’ is a book of photographs taken by Clifford Charles Fane. It charters his life and loves during his adolescent years, moving into adulthood and becoming a member of the clergy.
The book showcases his eye for the people of the era, often capturing someone’s fleeting thoughts and actions. His images also show changing post war London, both architecturally and culturally.
This collection chapters these aspects of his photography chronologically, giving the viewer and reader more of an insight into Cliff’s life.
The photography is accompanied by text, adding cultural insight, historic fact or merely passing comment. These references add to an album already filled with amusing, thought-provoking and insightful imagery.
