This folio of black and white photographs depicts urban skies, punctuated by lamp posts, utility poles, electrical lines and anything else that sticks up into the sky. Weather and technology go hand in hand to frame each image, pitting the starkness of the 'interruptions' with the softness of the clouds.
Karen den Hertog is a photographer with more than 30 years of experience. She uses a variety of traditional and digital cameras to capture the world around her. When not teaching, she is often found wandering about with a camera or two in hand. Her photography is primarily black and white.
