This is the smaller edition of the large coffee table sized "Author's Edition" book I published in December 2009. Although I recreated this book from the original, it is substantially different in terms of the way it reads. It is 20 pages longer and incorporates a few more photographs.
David Rocks with Trees contains 54 original outdoor photographs by David K. Meyers, of mountains in the western United States and Vancouver Island, British Columbia. It includes photos from Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia, Mount Saint Helen's and Olympic National Parks in the US, photos from around the Cascades, as well as scenes from around parts of Vancouver Island. There are actually more photographs used in this edition in the context of the story told in the book. The previous "Author's Edition" had about twenty of so photographs at the end, outside of the story.
This is a big, pretty book, 10" X 8" landscape oriented book, sure to get many comments in your home or office!
The story that David tells along with his pictures describes the specialness of the photographs, his interpretations of how these subjects came to be, and the impact they have on his view of nature and the universe. This book is spiritual and inspirational, as well as factual and entertaining.
