This book features portrait, still life, interior and documentary photographs from the first year of the Bryan House's existence, along with a short introductory essay. The Bryan House, which opened in 2008, is a home for refugees in the city of Aurora, Ill. Please know that all profits from sales of this book will go towards the Bryan House non-profit organization.

Your book purchase will directly help to give legally established, hard-working refugees a chance to become homeowners and escape the cycle of working class poverty that is often waiting for them as they enter the U.S.

Peter Hoffman is a freelance photographer and photographic educator based in and around Chicago, Illinois. His clients include the Wall St. Journal, The National (Abu Dhabi), The Times of London, CITY Magazine and others. His work has been selected for recognition by places like the American Photography Annual, Fotografia Festival (Rome) and Project Basho and awarded by places such as the International Photography Awards, Px3 (Paris), and the College Photographer of the Year competition. His work is often project based and centers on the exploration of issues surrounding the environment and people’s attachments and relationships to different places and landscapes.
