About the Book
This book was a creation for the Exhibition "I kissed a frog" in Singapore.
"Most of what people know about Myanmar comes from newspaper headlines and CNN footage. What is less
well known is that Myanmar is a country of rugged beauty. Its people have endured decades of suffering but
they have not let their experience weigh down their spirit.
“I kissed a frog” is a celebration of a beautiful country, its wonderful people and its rich cultural heritage.
These images represent a small, inspirational, slice of daily life in Myanmar, captured during my visits to the country.
The exhibition is called “I kissed the frog”, because it sums up the experience most people have on visiting
Myanmar. Before going, they have a set of expectations about the country and its people. However,
