Love of Windmills is the story of artist Noel Garner's fascination with English windmills for over 25 years. The book has over sixty reproductions of his original paintings, painted on location in many parts of the country, dating from 1984 right up to 2010.
Some of these mills no longer exist, some have fallen into disrepair, and some of them have been restored to their former glory.
The paintings capture the unique character of each of these windmills, telling their story with loving care, convincing draughtsmanship, whilst emphasising their place in the landscape and the sense of history that each one carries.
