I am a special education science and Spanish teacher. Along with teaching, I run my own photography business, A Unique View Photography. I have been published in National Geographic and Parade Magazine and won numerous contests at both the local and international levels. My photos have even appeared on the Kodak screen at Time's Square in New York City.
I am interested in topics that deal with environmental and conservation issues around the world. This past year I received a fellowship to work with Earthwatch on how climate change and human activities are impacting the mammals of Nova Scotia. In 2008, I had the opportunity to visit the Galápagos with the Toyota International Teacher Program to learn about environmental sustainability.
You can visit: www.earthwatch.org and www.toyoto4education.com to get more information on these programs. Also check out the Galapagos Conservancy, http://www.galapagos.org, to see my cover photo on the 2010 calendar.
