About the Book
In this series of work depicting Leeds Rotary Club (District Number 339), established on 1st November 1917, documenting the environment of an organization that is not normally seen by the Public and of which they know little, therefore widely criticized by those who have no real knowledge about it in fact, The Rotary Club is an International Charity-based organization with over 1.2 million members globally and 32,000 clubs in different cities throughout the world. It was established by Paul P. Harris , a well known Beverley Hills entrepreneur. In 1910 the Rotary Club in its concept was way ahead of its time in having no prejudice to colour or race or class and opens its doors to all. In this series of work the artist has combined both archival documents and objects from Rotarians bringing the audience into the heart and soul of the Club.
