The State of Our Youth
How colleges preyed on their hopes and dreams.
This book takes a glimpse at the education system and how it preys on the hopes and dreams of today's youth.
Hey, thanks! It's unfortunate that so many young people identify with these stories and are living them every day. We need to re-evaluate the education system and it's real value today. Good luck in your endeavors, and know you are not alone.

WOW!!! Great book!!! This is true for too many of us unfortunately. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Public Health from Brigham Young University in 2006 and have done professional work for two years in Phoenix and DC. I ran a health education program for the largest managed care organization in DC last year, but my salary wasn't enough to pay my bills, so I had to vacuum 10 floors all night, adding to 13+ hours of work a day just to survive. I made the mistake of leaving my job thinking that I could find a better one, and have been unemployed for a year doing temp jobs here and there. This summer I started a landscaping business and work on my book for the contest. I will start a Master's in Public Health and hope to have better opportunities and not just put me in more debt. It's cool to read about Brett starting a community garden! Thanks for taking time to tell these stories! Great job Alana!
